to &#8216;Amazing World of Gumball&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the latest episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=y5GBnMKLAkA\">Lightbox<\/a> Skwigly meet the talents of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blinkindustries.tv\/\">Blink Industries<\/a> (an arm of London-based production company Blink alongside <a href=\"http:\/\/blinkink.co.uk\/\">Blink Productions<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blinkart.co.uk\/\">BlinkArt<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/blinkink.co.uk\/\">Blinkink<\/a>) following their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skwigly.co.uk\/cartoon-network-celebrate-power-local-production-annecy-animation-festival\/\">presentation at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival<\/a> to learn about their recent collaboration with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cartoonnetwork.co.uk\">Cartoon Network<\/a> on <em>The Puppets<\/em>, a fifth season episode of <a href=\"http:\/\/gumball.cartoonnetwork.co.uk\/\"><em>The Amazing World of Gumball<\/em><\/a>, and its associated web-series <em>Waiting For Gumball<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Along with welcoming back <em>Gumball<\/em> creator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skwigly.co.uk\/ben-bocquelet\/\">Ben Bocquelet<\/a>, joined by series director Mic Graves, this episode features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/beckyandjoes.com\/\">Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling<\/a> &#8211; collectively known as <a href=\"http:\/\/blinkink.co.uk\/d\/beckyjoe\">Becky &amp; Joe<\/a>, prior to creating the world of <em>The Puppets<\/em> the duo have worked together on a variety of commercial projects (including music videos for <a href=\"http:\/\/beckyandjoes.com\/tame-impala\/\">Tame Impala<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/beckyandjoes.com\/umo\/\">Unknown Mortal Orchestra<\/a>) and achieved online fame through their six-part viral phenomenon <a href=\"http:\/\/beckyandjoes.com\/dont-hug-me-im-scared\/\"><em>Don&#8217;t Hug Me I&#8217;m Scared<\/em><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skwigly.co.uk\/skwigly-podcast-manoman\/\">Simon Cartwright<\/a> &#8211; As an independent director he has produced six multi-award-winning short animated films that have been showcased at over 200 international film and animation festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, BFI London Film Festival, ITFS Stuttgart, Encounters, London International Animation Festival, Pictoplasma, London Short Film Festival and Anima Mundi. Alongside his work in animation production he is an active writer and researcher on the industry through such avenues as the leading UK animation resource Skwigly, for which he is Editor in Chief, and his books 'Independent Animation: Developing, Producing and Distributing Your Animated Films' (2016, second edition published April 2023) and 'Intimate Animation' (2025, co-written with Dr. Laura-Beth Cowley). As an educator he has lectured and tutored at AUB Bournemouth, University of the West of England, University of Gloucestershire and UAL Central Saint Martins.
