Developed in 2020 after conversations with survivors of solitary confinement, the project highlights how many described building elaborate inner worlds to survive years spent alone in a cell. The film was realised through the striking vision of Animation Director Natasza Cetner, the producing expertise of Seamus Waters of Wonderbread Films, and the immersive soundscapes crafted by composer and sound designer Die Hexen with Sound Canvas handling post-production audio. Supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and fiscally sponsored by the International Documentary Association, Inside, The Valley Sings has been recognised not only for its artistic innovation but also for its cultural and social urgency.<\/p>\n
