Skwigly Animation Magazine is always on the look out for both established, and new & upcoming writers. Whatever your background or interest in animation, we are always eager to work with new writers on any subject, including interviews, reviews and opinion pieces.<\/p>\n

Why Write For Skwigly?<\/h4>\n

\nSkwigly has a readership than spans over 100 countries and is viewed by some of the top professionals in animation. Once your article has been published, we make sure it reaches as many people as possible (via our website, Facebook, Twitter and email).<\/p>\n

\nWriting for Skwigly may present opportunities to interview that animator or director you have always wanted to speak to, to review books before they hit the shelves, or to attend certain festivals and events. If there are any specific ideas you may have for articles, we are always open to suggestions!<\/p>\n

Each author will get their own profile page, which will include a biography, photo and links to your website, Facebook and Twitter accounts.<\/p>\n

What We Are Looking For<\/h4>\n

  1. We are primarily looking for people who would like to form part of the writing team at Skwigly for the long term – a single article is excellent, but a long-term cooperation is even better!<\/li>\n
  2. We look for writers that know what they are talking about and who are certain that they can write well; possessing solid writing skills is a\u00a0must<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  3. An article doesn\u2019t have to be particularly long; what is important is that you have something to say or to share. There is no minimum word count but articles typically run between 500-1000 words.<\/li>\n
  4. Topics that we are looking for include: event reviews, book reviews, film reviews, interviews, technical\/software reviews, tutorials, previews, news, tips & tools, historical articles, and opinion pieces.<\/li>\n
  5. We ask that articles submitted be unique and original to Skwigly. We cannot accept articles that you plan to distribute to other websites\/publications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    AI Policy
    \n<\/strong>Skwigly will not accept or publish writing that has been created using generative AI writing tools in any stage of the process.\u00a0The Skwigly editorial team reserve the right to cancel active commissions at any stage.<\/p>\n
